Cotswold Way Project

This years big project is a commission to carve a marker to mark the beginning and the end of the Cotswold Way at Bath Abbey. The commissioners are Bath and North East Somerset Council, with the Cotswold Way National Trail and Bath Abbey. My winning proposal is to carve a disk of Irish Blue Limestone with the names of places along the Cotswold Way, making a visual journey in words. The names have been chosen to cover as much of the history, use and topography of the Way as I can. The marker will be completed and installed by the end of the summer. The stone is arriving tomorrow. The journey is about to begin! You can read more about the project at the Cotswold Way website here, Or sign up to the feed to see the story unfold.
